We had the most incredible stay at Villa Degli Dei in Vico Equense. The villa is in a stunning location with a breathtaking view over the sea and Mount Vesuvius — waking up every morning to that spectacular panorama of the water, the volcano, and the town clinging to the mountainside was truly unforgettable. Starting the day with a refreshing dip in the warm, crystal-clear sea just steps away was absolute perfection.
The villa itself is beautiful, and the photos don’t even do it justice. The air-conditioning was excellent, which made the hot days so comfortable. We especially loved the private garden with two hammocks, the peaceful walk through the grounds shaded by hanging grapevines and lemon trees, and the overall sense of tranquility.
It’s also a very convenient base — just a short 5–10 minute walk to a small supermarket, the bus station, and plenty of restaurants or snack huts. Despite being so close to everything, it feels wonderfully tucked away and private.
A special mention goes to Lisa, the concierge, who made our stay even more special. She was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond — whether it was offering to drive us to the supermarket or up the mountain when she saw us waiting for a bus, sharing local insights, or always being available via WhatsApp with helpful advice. Her hospitality was exceptional.
Yes, it is on the pricier side, but it’s worth every penny. The location, the views, the comfort, and the service all come together to create something truly unique. Honestly, you won’t find a better spot.
